Plantars Faciiatis

After doing much research on the web, I am positive that have done something bad to my plantars faciiatis. I know that you should wear shoes w/ good arch supports, but the arch supports apply pressure directly on the painful spot and it feels like a nail is going thru my heel. I have had this HORRID pain now going on 6 weeks and it is showing no sign of improvement. I try to stay off of it, but because of work, it’s impossible to rest it all the time. How long will this pain continue…or is it going to be something chronic!?

This is a very common problem seen by podiatrists and there is no one answer that works for everyone. Of course wearing shoes that support the foot and not flip-flops or going barefoot is a must. Rolling the arch on a frozen water bottle several times a day can help decrease the pain. There are numerous over the counter arch supports sold, but you might be better off seeing a podiatrist and see what would be best for your particular needs.
