Pop in lower back

I was practicing backflips at a gymnastics gym, flipping into the foam pit (typically prevents all injuries from bad landings).
When I straightened out, I ended up over-straightening so my back was arched inward (stomach outward).
When I landed, my lower half hit the foam while my upper half continued rotating back.
I felt a pop in my lower back (popped INWARD).Now, I have a mild ache there.
However, when I lean back, that spot gets pretty painful. Leaning forward and standing upright do not bother it.Should this be examined by a chiropractor, or should I wait to see if it heals itself?

Dear Joel,You should be checked and x-Rayed by a Chiropractor. It is possible you could have fracture part of your 5th lumbar vertebra. Please visit our web site for more information about your health Kind regards Dr Anthony Gambale
