popping sternum
My 7 yr old daughter mentined to me today that once in awhile when she breathes she gets a popping in the middle of her chest.
She said it hurts.
She hasn’t been in any accidents where anything could be cracked.
I don’t usually go to the doctor for every little thing, but should I be concerned?

Dear Paula,When I was younger I had the same issue. There are actual joints where the head of a rib meets the sternum. These joints can give a pupping sound sometimes. My concern is that her rib cage alignment might be off from normal and causing that specific rib head to be stressed.
