Possible broken toe with possible disjoined tendon
(3 discussions)
I did the same thing to my finger with a fall. I stubbed my toe recently and it still hurts and is forming a knot on the knuckle. I think I may have broken it and possibly caused the tendon to separate from the bone. When I did this to my finger, the doctor splinted it for 3 months to allow the tendon to reattach/glue itself to the bone. I have not been able to find anything to splint my toe with. Taping it to an adjacent toe is not working. Any help? Thanks

: ThanksNeed to have it xrayed but the "bump"is probably swelling that should go away in 4 to 6 weeks.

My toe has been broken for more than two months. The joint is twice the size it should be and it won’t move. It is extremely painful when I try to move it manually. It won’t move at all by itself. The doctor I saw hasn’t found any problem. Can you help me? Thanks.
