Possible foot fracture…Maybe toe.

Yesterday, I slipped on my kitchen floor in my socks and stubbed my pinky toe hard on the wall. It began to swell immediatly. Now, my toe is swollen and black and blue along with the top of my foot behind the toe. The toe is straight, but not touching the toe next to it like on my other foot. I can’t move it and it is extremely painful. Could I have broken the toe or possibly my foot?Rebecca

It sure sounds like your toe is broken. An X-ray will confirm it and a podiatrist can show you how to care for this to try to ease your discomfort.
