POST TIB TENDONITIS

(2 discussions)

I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH POST TIB TENDONITIS 3 MONTHS AGO AND THE PAIN HAS NOT LEVELLED OFF. I HAVE TRIED, ORTHOTICS,PT,ICE,HEAT,ULTRASOUND,VIOXX, 1 CORTISONE INJECTION AND HAVE NOW BEEN IN A SOFT BOOT CAST FOR 3 WEEKS AND IT DOES NOT SEEM TO BE HELPIING. THE CORTISONE SHOT DID HELP FOR ABOUT A WEEK BUT IT CAME BACK. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APRECIATED.

hey Seth, I also have post tib tendonitis and don’t have an answer for you. I have been in pain since sept 2013 and wore the boot for 3 months. I have 16 ultra sound treatments and still have pain, I also am wearing orthodics and doing exercises in a attempt to build my muscles back up. The pain has gone way down but it took a looong time for me to get where I could walk without the boot and for my pain level to decrease. all I can tell you is to keep iceing it and take mortion and to do some excerises. Hang in there.RobinAnd Jeffrey the boot did help in some ways but in some ways it made it worse. If you do wear the boot DO NOT WEAR IT FOR A LONG TIME, I wore it for 3 months and now my leg and foot muscles are weak, I have rebuild them. please let me know how things work out for you all.
