PT for ACL repair

I tore my ACL while skiing.
I am presently scheduled to have ACL repair (surgically) with a portion of the hamstring tendon serving as replacement.
This surgery is scheduled for 3 weeks from now.
Is there any physical therapy / exercises that I can do NOW in advance to help my post operative recovery. Also, what exercises will be required afterward.
Is there any recommended books that identify the post operative exercises?

The exercises that you can do now are straight leg raises…on your back, left side and right side…even on your stomach. You can do wall slides..slide down the wall bending your knees 1/4 of the way and hold for 5-10 seconds or longer if your able. Step ups are good too…stand in front of a step and step up and down the step with your bad leg. You can do minisquats too. The motions to avoid are sitting on the edge of a bed and fully extending your leg and for gods sake don’t run. If you have a brace wear it at all times and avoid twisting motions at the knee. Of course, if you experience any pain or excessive swelling stop the exercises.
