P-T for post surgical bicep tendon.

Hi… I just had my cast removed 3 weeks after surgeryto repair a tear of my left bicep tendon, whichoccurred down near the forearm, while doing bicep curls. My surgeon told me that it looks fine and to startworking on improving range of motion.
He didn’t get into specifics. My question is: What should I do or not do?
I won’tbe able to see a physical therapist for 2 weeks since I’ll be on vacation, but I’d like to help the recoveryprocess along (without overdoing it).
What movementsshould I work on? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

My tendon bicep keeps hurting when my arm is fully stretched and when I rotate my hand 180 Degrees. But it hurts the most when training. The advice I have had so far differs from work out your bicep with low weights and high reps to strengthen my tendon as total rest will only solve the pain but not solve the training pain problem. Also been advised to totally rest. Can you please give us your personal experience on this issue.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
