: I have a severe burning sensation in my knee. I had an MRI done and it shows a tear within the posterior horn of the medial meniscus communicating with the inferior articular surface. Could this cause burning in my knee?
My mom (who is 81) has been having burning knee sensation which bothers her a lot – she can’t sleep at night. The symptom began some 7 years ago and doesn’t go away. She is very, very healthy for her age; she has only have mild ishemic heart problem; she is physically active, walks at least 3-4 miles a day etc.
I have search the net and found some causes (diabetes, sciatica, stroke, peripheral neuropathy, osteoarthritis… ) but as long as I can see – no real treatment van be applied.Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
