: Hi, I hurt my back for many years of working on an ambulance, last year I shovled snow and that was it. It hurt so bad that I took vicadine and vodka. finally I had the surgery, post op was fine, no pain. All I hve now is limited feeling in my leg and it feels like a sponge in the ball of my foot. small price to pay for all that pain.

Hi. I’m looking for advice regarding back surgery. I have had lumbar back pain for several years, at times severe. I have been to several pain management doctors and they have done the usual, epidural injections, burning the nerves, etc. Nothing lasts. I have an appointment with neurosurgeon, but I am terrified to have back surgery. Anyone want to share their experience with me?
