I have a question, my doctor told me yesterday that I have a torn rib head. Can you explain to me the symptoms and what exactly it is so I can comfirm he is correct. I think it feels broke rather than torn.
I too have been diagnosed with a popped rib head. What exactly does that mean and how long, approximatly, is the healing time( mine happened a week ago, with no relief in sight!). My chiro also suggested it may be a virus in my muscle.Help!
My rib feels cracked, but the xray says no? I’m in so much pain it really feels broken but my docter says not. This has happened a few times before but I don’t have a clue what is going on? I also have osteoprosis and I have had several spinal fractures and two kioplasty. Please HELP me understand.
I have been told by my chiro that I have a rib head. The pain is very severe and I didn’t get relief for two weeks. I am getting adjusted 4 times a week. It feels very much like a virus. Very sore and achy by the shoulder blade and in my arm to my elbow. I am using ice, heat and biofreese with little progress.
The rib head is a part of your rib cage that will pop out of its socket on occasion. Mine will pop out just from sitting at my computer for to long a period. I can move furniture and nothing happens, but the sudden move after being in one position for a while will pop out a rib head. Very painful. My rib heads that pop out are numbers 7 and 10. My chiropracter just pops them right back in, I go home, take a hot shower, crawl under my blanket and stay in bed for the remainder of the day. I have to have mine popped back in at lest once a month. If you wait to long, it becomes inflamed and will not stay in once it is popped in. Then you have to take an antinflamatory to get the swelling down. If you have a tens unit. Which is a small compact unit that sends electrical currents through the area, it will work wonders until you can get to the chiropracter.
I have had a pain in my back and it comes around to the side of my ribs for about 3 weeks now, I try to take a deep breath and it feels like someone is sticking a knife in my side, I try to move or to sleep and all I do is scream because the pain is so intense my sister in law said it could be a rib head that it’s out of place. can you give me any information.
