Right wrist tendinitus.

(4 discussions)

I drive a tow truck doing accident recoveries and nine months ago while handling equipment had my right wristed almost ninety degrees with an impact.Diagnosis was “sprained tendons” with nerve damage at the wrist and elbow. As there are no light duties in this business, I have been off work, on compensation for over nine months. The problem is that the injury healed to a point, but has stagnated and does not seem to be getting any better despite physiotherapy 3 times per week. I still experience wrist pain and 70% loss of use. What can I do to help this heal? I really want my life back!

Unfortunately the only thing that can heal tendonitis is rest. With the nerve damage, I am not sure if it will ever completely heal. If it does seem to heal completely, the bad thing about tendonitis is that is can re-occur. Some tendons in the body just have a propensity of inflame and swell.Look into a good wrist brace to help support it.
