Ripped Big Toe Nail

(3 discussions)

Ripped my big toe nail a few weeks back.
Somehow nail ripped back, but then popped into place.
Have soaked it a couple of times with warm water and peroxide.
Starting to turn blue (the toe, not me) recently, but now there’s an oozing with a sharp smell to it. No pain, I’m soaking it in warm water and salt at the moment. Sound normal?
Thanks.

Call the doctor who treated you and ask him this question. He will know what he put on you and go from there.

My grandson has Planter’s Warts. What causes them to develop on a person?

I had the same problem when I was around your age. I am now 25. I had a planter wart on the ball of my foot that was treated for 2 yrs. It would not go away. The doctor first tried the acid, which it sounds like he is using on you. Then he tried to burn it out. Then acid again. These treatment weren’t working. So finally he got rid of it by lazer surgery. I too was never in any pain before the doctor started working on my foot. I playe allot of sports through school. If I was to do it again I would just start with the Lazer. He numbed it and I was walking around fine in a week or sogood luck kid-o : Good luck.
