Ritchie afo/Arizona brace

23 years ago I had a laminectomy that left me with a dropped foot.
I have been wearing an afo that is white plastic with a velcro closure.
My podiatrist recommended I look into the Ritchie brace and also mentioned the Arizona brace, however he has no idea where or who makes these braces.
I live in South Florida.
I am pronating and walking on my right big toe, the leg is atrophic and most of the foot is numb.
I drive a car and am very active, however it is getting more and more painful and I have developed a huge callous on the outside of the big toe due to the way I am walking.
I have now developed arthritis in that whole toe and bone area.
I received a cortisone shot today, and it feels somewhat better.
Can you tell me anything about this Ritchie brace, how it works or where I can get information about it.
Thank you very much for any help you can send me.
Helen

I am familiar with both of these braces. They are both very useful in some patients. They are also used by many podiatrists. I know for a fact that Dr. Bret Ribotsky in Boca Raton uses them. You can try calling his office for more information.
