Hi Pam...if your rotator cuff is completely gone, unfortunately there is no way to get it back without surgery. Good luck, Mya

: : Hi: I have had an MRI and been told that I have a 25% tear in the rotor cuff and severe arthritis in the right shoulder. I am 71 yrs old and have been an avid tennis player for 40 years. I can no longer play tennis because of the pain on overheads and serving. For all other activities that I enjoy, I am able to get along pretty well. I understand that rotor cuff surgery would require about 18 mos. for recovery. I am in good shape otherwise and not sure I want to go through with this kind of surgery in order to be able to play tennis again. Do you have any suggestions? I have tried physical therapy over 6 mos. time but as soon as I start back with tennis, the pain is too bad.
