Rotor Cuff Syndrome

My family doctor diagnosed my shoulder pain as Rotor Cuff Syndrome and prescribed physical therapy.
My question is this: if I do not get physical therapy, what are the chances my shoulder will heal and get better with time?

I have been diagnosed with Rotor Cuff Syndrome by my GP – I did get bumped by another car – which hit my rear bumper at low speed – could this have set this condition off as I can’t think of anything else that could have triggered itThank you
