ruptured achillies tendon

In oct 2012 I ruptured my achillies tendon and had set in a plaster cast.
After 6 weeks I had it removed and I am now in rehab.
Can you advise me what I should be doing to help it to repair.
I can now walk but it does swell up at night.
Every day gets a little better but still have a burning sensation after walking.
Would it damage it further to drive ie when I push clutch down etc as it is my left leg? I need to drive but I don’t want to damage it anymore.
Your help would be much appreciated.

If your having rehab ask your PT silly.

I tore my achillies tendon about a week ago. I had surgrey on Oct 6, 2016. Yesterday, I had my cast removed and I ‘m wearing a boot now. Is there anything that I can do to help the rehab for this injury.

i ruptured my achilles tendon and had surgery and cast may 1.2017. I am stuck with stiffness and pain due to scar tissue. now dr. said I need small surgery to remove one of the surgical knots because it is coming through my skin and pulling on largest tear of rupture. what can I expect in regards to healing and will this surgery cut into tendon again
