ruptured quad tendons, bending knee.

Ruptured the quad (patella)tendon and had emergency (14 hrs later) surgery to reattach. It’s been 7 weeks and I can bend my knee only 75В°. I have a machine attempting to progress matters but knee seems stuck at 75-80В°. Does it take this long to stretch those tendons or have I missed the boat? Thanks H Fitzpatrick (56 yrs).

I ruptured my quad tendon and had the repair done 3.5 months ago. Currently my flexion is 66-75 degrees, and I continue to progress very slowly. My understanding is that the limited motion is caused mainly by scar tissue and adhesions. If necessary a manipulation or arthroscopy can be preformed to help regain range of motion. Good Luck
