Scheuermanns disease

My girlfriend was diagnosed with Scheuermanns disease a while back and unfortunately neither of us would have a clue as to what the condition is or what treatments are available. She experiences quite painful back aches. Any information on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My son is 22 years old and has just been diagnosed with Scheuermanns Disease,what does this mean for his future, he plays all kinds of sports and is finding it harder to play as often as he used to. more importantly what kind of help can he get and is there any cure and will it get so bad that he wont be very mobile or can treatment keep it from getting worse

well I have had a sore back n hips 4 over 8 months now n I seen on my records yesterday this diseas scheuermanns writen down n ?? next 2 it wot is it? can u give me any information on it?

There is a good medical paper on Scheuermanns on http://www.iol.ie/~rcsiorth/journal/volume5/issue1/sch.htm. Its a bit tech to read, but its the best I found so far. I have been managing SD for 20 + years, happy to send on my experience by email if you email me. Not every one is the same so my experience might not be the same as yours/others.
