Scholoiosis

Hello Doctor, I am citizen of India. My daughter is 6 years old now. She was diagonised scholiosis of spine during birth and we did consult experts at our home town and they had recommended that a surgery need be done for correction. We have been delaying this for a while, thinking that exercises could straighten her back and if need be we could go in for a surgery when she is over her teens when she can handle the pain of an surgery. Please advice doctor, if I am making a mistake by delaying her surgery? Is scholiosis correctable? What is the healing period after surgery? Can she play and go around as a normal child does?Awaiting your reply.Regards,Ramesh Narayanan(Father)

I HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD WITH SCOLIOSIS BUT THE DR. ALSO NOTICED SPACING IN HIS NECK. HE IS REFERRING HIM FOR AN MRI TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT A CIST CAUSING THE SPACING. HE HAS LOW MUSCLE TONE BUT IS ON TARGET WITH OTHER AREAS. ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE APPRECIATED.HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THIS BEFORE?
