screw loose from ankle surgery?

I broke my ankle a year ago March. Latly I have noticed that it looks like something may be staring to poke out. I think the look of it is what is mostly concerning me but I am worried what it might be. If anyone has any suggestion that would be great. I have to go see my doctor but I thought if anyone knew anything I could have some peace of mind…

It is a screw I had one removed because it was trying to break through the skin.

Loose screw from surgery you say?
The Bone should have grown around the screw and feel stronger and not be loose, or just a little loose anyway.. this takes time…maybe longer than we expect it to. go back to the doctor and seek advice from him. I had a screw put into my ankle bone in June. My doctor told me if I had any problems he could remove the bolt off the end of the screw, maybe this is what is bothering you. Ask your physician for help. p.s. I am also taking calcium and drinking orange juice for faster healing… It is important to eat well.
