Screw removal

I am having reactions to the screws used in a Osteotomy/CHeilectomy.
My doctor recommended having them removed.
He stated that I would need to wear the surgical shoe again for a couple of weeks.
How long before the bone is totally healed and have you ever used”bone putty” to fill the holes left by the screws?

Your doctor should really answer these questions. There are certainly holes left when the screws are removed. The use of bone putty certainly sounds like a good idea and I have used it before, but not to fill in these holes. It take several months for the holes to fill in completely.
