Sesamoiditis
I have suffered pain in the ball of my left foot for the last 3 months or so.
I visited a podiatrist who said it was probably sesamoiditis and put a dressing on my foot to redistribute the weight – which I have been wearing on and off for about a month.
Its starting to feel a bit easier, but still not 100% and because I am walking differently I have noticed other changes in my left foot compared to my right – my inside ankle bone is not as pronounced and my little toe joint is bigger and starting to stick out.
Will these changes ever go back to normal when it finally gets better? How long does Sesamoiditis usually take to get better and is there anything else I can do to help it? Many thanks, Katharine

It will depend on variables such as how much you are on it, the shoes you wear, the surface you walk on etc. There is no really exact length of time. What sounds encouraging is that you are feeling better. I feel slow but steady progress is better than none.
