severe swelling with ruptured muscle
I ruptured my calf muscle and have been experiencing SEVERE foot swelling to the point that my skin is sore to the touch and the feeling of tightness is overwhelming.
Is there anything I can do? My doc was shocked at the swelling and I won’t see him again until Wed. He said ice and take anti-inflamm. meds which DON’T seem to be working.
Should I be getting worried?
It is really disgusting to look at.

other then keeping it elevated as much as possible and the ice and meds there really isn’t nothing else that I know of that you can do. even with it being sore try to massage it as much as you can to help with the circulation, that also might help with the swelling. but remember you want to keep it elevated about your heart. good luck hope you get some relief.
