sharp, stabbing foot pain
Good evening and thank you for your time.
Just recently on Sunday 12th, I experienced a sharp, stabbing pain on the side of my right foot as I was driving. It was very excrutiating and it lasted about 2 seconds.
Just tonight, the pain came back with the same affect. It is a quick pain on the right side of my right foot, almost on the top but not quite.
I’m not having pains in my heels, arch, or ball of my foot. I injured my toe badly 2 days ago on my right foot and it still hurts. It also looks swollen. It may be a simple fracture who knows.(Maybe the injury to the toe has an effect with the stabbing pain?) I appreciate your expertise and suggestions regarding this matter. I will be seeing a podiatrist soon. Is there something cautious I need to be aware of with my experience?
Thank you,Delilah Y.

You need to avoid shoes that hurt and if necessary use crutches to off load your weight until you are seen by a podiatrist
