SHIN FRACTURE

AFTER GOING TO DR WITH SHIN PAIN…DUE TO A FALL 3 WKS EARLIER OVER THE BED OF A TRUCK…LOL…WITH PAIN INCREASING AS TIME WENT BY I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A FORM OF TENDENITIS. AFTER A FEW DAYS WITH INCREASING PAIN I WENT BACK AND AFTER X RAYING MY SHIN….FOUND HAIRLINE FRACTURE. PAIN BEING EXTREME WITH BENDING OF FOOT DURING DRIVING, WALKING, ETC. WAS TOLD NO CAST REQUIRED, WEAR GOOD WALKING SHOES AND KEEP ELEVATED WITH ICE FOR SWELLING FOR A FEW DAYS. IT IS NOW A WEEK LATER AND THE PAIN IN MY FOOT IS STILL THERE….SWELLING IS BETTER. SHOULD I JUST LEAVE ALONE AND LET IT CONTINUE TO HEAL OR SEE AN ORTHOPEDIC DR AND GIVE HIM MY X RAY SENT HOME WITH ME TO MAKE SURE NO FURTHER TREATMENT IS NEEDED?

Four months ago I started having terrible pain in both my shins. I am a part of a Varsity sport in my University so I tried to ignore the pain and I continued to run my regular mileage and continued with the practices. I finally couldn’t stand it, well actually my trainer made me visit a doctor at a clinic and it tourned out that I had a fracture in on one of my shin bones, and that I had shin splints on both shins. Now I tried to stay away from running for three months. Last month I couldnt take it anymore and I started with a regular running ruting again. The pain in my shins isn’t as painful as it was some months ago but it is slowly coming back. What should I do?
