Shin pain at night
(2 discussions)
At night I have a burning sensation in my shins that prevents me from sleeping.
Although my feet and knees are cold, my shins feel like they are burning up and I need to keep them out of the covers to cool them off in order to get any sleep.
Can you recommend what or whom I should see regarding this as my primary provider does not have a clue what could be causing this.
Thank you

If this is a vascular problem, a cardiologist who does vascular evaluations of the extremities. If this is a nerve problem then a neurologist. If it is a reaction to a medication, then possibly an internist. It is difficult to be sure without an examination.
