Shoulder popping and occasional pain

My shoulder has been bothering me for about two weeks now. About three days ago it started popping and whenever I lift my arm above my head or lift my elbow vertically out to the side it feels like something is crunching. The only time I feel pain is when I try to lift something really heavy like on flat bench dumbell presses or over head shoulder presses. I would appreciate any insight you can give me.

    Sounds like an impingement. First thing…stop lifting things over head. You are only causing more damage when you hear the crunching and have pain. Next, go to a doc, get a prescription for physical therapy. It depends on what state you live in, some states allow you to see a P.T. without a doctors script. Do yourself a favor before you have real trouble with your shoulder and get it looked at.
