shoulder problems……please help!

I am a high school cheerleader and during the month of October, I was cheering at a football game and when we threw our flyer to end the stunt, I popped my shoulder.
It hurt for only about fifteen minutes or so but even today, it is still bothering me. Every time I rotate my shoulder, my collar bone pops a little and it hurts to stunt.
When I asked our school sports trainer and my family doctor, they both told me that it will always hurt and that it will never heal.
What happened and how can I fix it?…..if that’s even possible……

I do not agree with your family doctor and sports trainer. You need to see an Orthopedist for X-rays, and a shoulder exam. If you had a shoulder subluxation, physical therapy can strengthen your shoulder muscles so that it will not happen again. Don’t just go to a “family doctor”, or “sports trainer”, go to an expert. You need to either see am Orthopedist, PT, or ATC for an accurate evaluation and rehab options. Please let us know what happens.
