Shoulder/neck/arm pain or tingling

(7 discussions)

Ten years ago I had two frozen shoulders. After therapy, I recovered use of my arms without pain, but I still have the feeling of “rolling marbles” when I try to rotate the shoulders. Now, I have pretty bad pain just below my right side rib cage in the back. After seeing a chiropractor for 2 yrs, that is where the pain has localized. Now I have pinched nerves in the neck, and severe tingling, bordering on pain, in my right hand. I seem to be getting worse. What should I do next?
Is there a name for this condition?

I have sat in front of a keyboard of one type or another for the last 30 years. Now when I try to do anything in that type of position I have severe pain from the neck to the shoulder down the arm. Right now I am experiencing it on the right side only but a short while ago I was experiencing it on the left side only. I went to the doctor and he said it from carrying a heavy purse. I found that hard to believe but took the medication he prescribed and about a week later the pain finally subsided. It had returned twice more on the same side. I did return to the doctors the 2nd time and he prescribed the same med and about week later the pain went away. On the last day on my job. I went to work and said I hope this day goes fast my neck and arm pain is back. The next thing I know I was fired and gave a phoney reason for my firing and didn’t go to the doctors this time because money would soon be scarce. But what I didn’t realize is the pain would worsen. I am having a hard time finding a job because I am having trouble sitting at a computer for any length of time. As far as taking any speed tests or anything is impossible. Now of course I have no ins and any type of job I try to do is killing me. I can actually work about 6 hours without too much pain but those last 2 hours kill me. It will start with tingling down the right arm. But then it goes into pain from the back of my neck down my shoulder and arm. The end of my finger tips feel numb. I don’t know if I am being a big baby or if I should be concerned? I know I am having difficulty trying to function in a normal capcity. With no insurance I am afraid to go to the doctor because I do not want a couple of pills, I need a full examine and that will cost money. I think arthritious is becoming a problem at this point of my life as well. But need to know where that pain starts and ends and if this is a form of carpal tunnel which is what I suppect. Any suggestions?

I amm also suffering from neck, shoulder and arm pains since last 1 year. It subsides when I take strong dose of pain killer / anti – inflammatorieslike Aspirin, Brufen 400, Tylanol etc. I am also suffering from severe shooting leg pains specially lower part of legs. It aggravatesduring the night when I lie down for sleep. Whenever I have pains, I also suffer from Gestro pains and bloating and I feel very depressed due to these problems. I am also working 9 hours daily in front of computer. Wonder how to cure this or subside this or by which medications?

In 2013 I have radical back surgery for severe back pain. The surgeon had to repair 2 ruptured disc, rebuild one disc and do something to another disc. Since that time I had really not been having any problem. Prior to the surgery I had endured about 4 years with pain in my left leg, foot and lower back. The MRI did not show how severe the damage was. Well within the past 2 months I have been experiencing constant pain in my right shoulder, arm and hand with tingling down to my fingertips. I am not employed, have no insurance so therefore am unable to go to the doctor. The pain is constant and it gets worse at night. I went to the hospital one morning because it was so severe, they did an EEG and checked my blood pressure, but they were too busy to see me. Needless to say, I am still in constant pain that worsens at night.
