Skater’s Heel
My daughter is a higher level ice skater, learning double and triple jumps.
She has developed what looks like a stone bruise on the back of her heel.
It is painful and has turned a grayish color.
She has purchased a soft insole which seems to be helping but we need a longer term healing.
Is there any medication, foot soaking, etc. that will help to eliminate this condition?
Thank you, Joanie Gable

Silipos makes an Achilles tendon pad that might be what she needs. It would not take up alot of room in the skate and would help cushion against rubbing against the back of the heel. I use these for Haglund's deformities and posterior heel spurs.
