Small bumps on bottom of foot

I have just started working as a police officer and have been on my feet a lot more than usual. Because of this I have developed some small bumps on my feet which have been getting more pronounced and painful in the past few days. I have three right now, one on my left foot on the ball area and two on my right in the arch area about 1 1/2 inches from each other. They look similar to a large pimple in the way they protrude and the white color. It’s also painful to apply direct pressure to them with my finger, it feels as if I had splinters in them. Do you know what this is and if there an over-the-counter type thing would take care of this problem? My medical insurance doesn’t kick in for another month so I can’t go see anybody if at all possible. Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Without seeing your foot I can not be certain. “Small bumps” can describe many things. One thought might be warts. When they are on the bottom of the foot, they are referred to as plantar warts. There are other things this might be. Until you can have a podiatrist see this, You might try adding some decent cushioned insoles to your shoes.
