Sore knee

I have been having pain in the middle of my right knee cap for about six months.
I am 62 years old and do some walking regularly.
I am frequently up and down stairs.
I haven’t sought medical advice yet.
I do have Type 2 controlled diabetes (with medication) and high blood pressure (controlled with medication).Any ideas what it could be? No pain above or below. Noticeable most when I stand or sit. Thanks for any thoughts.

With diabetes you want to make sure you can keep on walking – it is a great way to control blood sugar. What I think you should look into is a physical therapist is familiar with McConnell knee taping and knee stabilization exercises.
    Good Luck!
