sore little toe

My little toes are naturally bent under the next toe.
For the last month one of them has become very sore on the bottom near the edge of the toe nail.
I have stopped running, and it hurts to walk even in very comfortable walking shoes from the pressure on the bottom of the toe.
Could it be corn that hurts with pressure, or should I see a doctor?
