Sore, red, swollen toe tips

I have had recent recurring episodes of sore, red, swollen toe tips the big toe and first toe next to it (left foot only). The toes are tender to the touch. My feet are in excellent condition otherwise. I am a 33 yr old male who works indoors at a computer. I don’t get a lot of exercise, but height and weight are proporionate, 5’10 / 165. I do not have diabetes or any other chronic health problems either. Thoughts?
