Soreness from inserts
Hi,
I am breaking in a pair of hiking boots. The salesperson fitted them with an insert to give me a better fit/support for my arch.Once I take the boots off (after several hours of wearing them) and walk around barefoot, I notice soreness on the bottom of my feet where the insert was giving me arch support.
Is this just my foot getting used to the inserts, or am I exposing my feet to a bunch of future problems?

That's hard to say, since I can't see your feet or the inserts. I would however not be in favor of something that seemed to hurt as much as you say it does. Go back to the store and tell the salesman or manager about this. If you can't seem to get satisfaction, see a podiatrist for more information.Hope this helps!Vivian A DPM
