Sport injury

I torn my right bicept muscle from the bone from the should down while sailboat racing. Look like Popeye now and don’t like the look. The ortho doc said no surgery was needed. I like to lift weights and still would like to be as strong as I was or close to anyway. I am 47 yrs. old, female, active and fit. Is there any physical therepy I can do or is surgery still an option to repair. They injury accured in late August this year. There is still some occasional soreness in the area. Thank you!

: I torn my right bicept muscle from the bone from a car accident. It went undected for approx 2 yrs. When I finally asked the Dr for an MRI he told me I had a rotator cuff tear in addition to a bicept muscle tear. He told me when he operated that if he did not do the bicept repair I would have a dropped shoulder (which I have anyway as a result of the injury). My question is since the rotator cuff injury went so long before they identified it did it cause the bicep muscle to fall.

My son is 15 years old and plays high school baseball. He plays the outfield. What are some exercises to strengthen the are and protect the rotator cuff. Thank You
