hello. I sprained my foot a week ago and it still hurts. I did not go to the doctor. I just figured it was just a sprain. I can limp on it but that is all. it is feeling some better. but how long should it take before I can walk on it normally without pain?

Sprains can vary in severity. Without an examination, it is difficult to give you an answer. I suggest that if you are concerned, go see a podiatrist or orthopedist. You might need an ankle brace or even a cast brace, depending on the injury. To see is to know, not to see is to guess.

I sprained my foot several weeks ago. I also have arthritis in the ankle. My foot is very swollen and hurts. I have used ice and Tylenol.Cannot use aspirin. My toes go numb. Should this type of accident not be wrapped in some way? I do not mean a cast. Thanks for your help. I love to walk but this is very painful. Thank you.
