swelling of knee after surgery

I had knee surgery almost 2 months ago . The dr. said i had a lateral and medial tear of my menicus. he repaired it and i didn’t start physical therapy until3 weeks after because that is the soonest i could get in ! i’m still having alot of pain and swelling in my knee ! What the heck is wrong ?????

  1. : Lisa,: I work with lots of orthopedic patients. I think the delay in beginning your rehab is the cause of your swelling; I bet you also lack normal range-of-motion in your knee. Since you are paying both your orthopedist and your PT, you have the right to call them and get a specific reply from them! Do it, and let me know what they say. NancyThanks and i am trying to see someone but it looks like nobody has any answers for me ! The dr said that it happens sometime and the physical therapist said that i had fluid on my knee! I have swelling clear down into my ankles! I don’t know know maybe i should just live with it ? thanks again !!!
