swelling of knee after surgery

I had knee surgery almost 2 months ago . The dr. said I had a lateral and medial tear of my menicus. he repaired it and I didn’t start physical therapy until3 weeks after because that is the soonest I could get in! i’m still having alot of pain and swelling in my knee! What the heck is wrong ?????

Lisa, I work with lots of orthopedic patients. I think the delay in beginning your rehab is the cause of your swelling; I bet you also lack normal range-of-motion in your knee. Since you are paying both your orthopedist and your PT, you have the right to call them and get a specific reply from them! Do it, and let me know what they say. Nancy

NancyThanks and I am trying to see someone but it looks like nobody has any answers for me! The dr said that it happens sometime and the physical therapist said that I had fluid on my knee! I have swelling clear down into my ankles! I don’t know know maybe I should just live with it? thanks again !!!
