Swelling comes from gravity pulling the blood downward. Sitting and driving for long periods of time can contribute to this. High blood pressure, liver problems, varicose veins, certain medications, congestive heart failure are possible causes. If none of these apply, then an entry level treatment would be to wear compression socks. The better names are Jobst, Juvo, Bauer and Black. A better well stocked pharmacy may have these. If the problem persisits, see your doctor.
