There is a water filled sac in your elbow called a bursa. Sometimes that gets irritated from trauma or prolonged pressure (like leaning on it) can cause swelling. Check out this website and see if it sounds familiar. https://orthoinfo.aaos.org/

hi, a few days ago my elbow swoll, became warm, and I am unable to straighten my arm. I am not so much worried about the pain, as the fever and headaches I’m experiencing ever since it started, also stomach and kidney area feeling very strange, with the odd pain there too, is this normal, even if the elbow is infected?
