swollen top of foot

I have a similar problem as the previous poster.
The top of my right foot is swollen as well as the base of my 2nd,3rd and 4th toes. The pain starts under my second and third toe going up my foot and up my leg about 3 inches on the right side of the bone.
It is very sensitive to any pressure.
Cold makes the pain worse and it is more sensitive and swollen at night.
I had a foot cramp the night before it started and woke up with the swelling and pain.
I have no history of heart/circulation problems and have never had anything like this before. There was no trauma to my foot preceeding this. Any idea what this may be?
