syatic nerve and feet

(2 discussions)

Twelve years ago, when pregnant, the baby sat on my syatic nerve. Every now and then it would flare up, but I could handle that. Now, it is continual. Always feels swollen.
My feet have sharp pains in them and feel swollen.
Some days I can hardy walk. When I sit, I have pain in every direction of my feet. Please tell me, does syatic nerve effect the feet in this way?

: I was doing my normal aerobic exercise, but we were in a new position. Putting all of our weight on one arm and one foot on top of the other, we lifted our bodies. This was okay, until my foot started to slide further away and then I felt something pull. I’ve had some pain, mostly in the AM and until I loosen it up. Haven’t done any permanent damage, have I? I am 58, walk 2 miles a day and go to aerobics three times a week. Don’t really want to stop!!

I am 7 months pregnant and have the syatic nerve all down the right side of my body. I have asked my doctor what I can do but the excersises are too difficult for me. I was wondering if there was anything else I can do to relieve a little bit of the pressure.
