tingling sensation in right arm and numbness in hand

(6 discussions)

I am 19 years old and just recently got married. I have been a waitress for a little over 4 years. For a few weeks now I have been having thesetingling sensations in my right arm and soon followsnumbness in my right hand and last for a few minutesor more.
The tingling starts at different times inthe day and some times when I am driving. What could be causing this? I have also been taking XENADRINE for weight loss butI have been taking this for over a year on and off.Could this be the problem?

I am also taking xenadrine efx and I am now experiencing numbness in my fingers hands and feet. I am otherwise very healthy and do not take any other supplements or drugs. As of right now I will no longer use xenadrine or any such product. A search on the net has revealed that many people are experiencing the same thing. Stop taking it and see what happens after a couple of weeks.

If I were you, I would look into the possibility that you might be developing carpel tunnel syndrome. The symtoms are tingling, burning and numbness in especially the hands. The causes are repeatitive motion, fine motor skills usage(like buttoning a button) and pressure on the inside of the wrist.

This is much later than your post, but in case any others read that and can relate, these are symptoms of a heart attack. Women generally have a higher instance of a-typical symptoms. If you experience this again, I would contact your emergency response system.

I am a 55 year old female I am a civil servant and work on a computer. Recentlt on holiday I had really bad pains in my right arm which I thought was tennis elbow, when I returned home I went to the doctors and was sent for xrays on my shoulders, which were normal. the pain in my arm has stopped but now I have tingling on and off all day in my right arm and hand. Do I need to go back to the doctors to have this investigated further. The only medication I am on is HRT and 10mg Colestral tablets.

I have been experiencing numbness and tingling in my right arm, mostly the right hand and fingers. This occurs on and off during the night (once or twice) and then starts when I get up in the AM. A bi of a burning sensation is also present. Within about 30 minutes after getting up and massaging my arm and havd with some friction these senations go away for the rest of the day and night until I’m sleep again. I use the computer quite a bit but if it would be something like carpal tunnel wouldn’t it be more times than just over night and upon arising in the AM? I’m not aware of any other problems accopmanying these sensations. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
