Toddler with curly toes

I’ve recently noticed that my daughter has what I think is called “congenital curly toes”. On both feet, toes 3-5 curl over to the side. The 3rd toe curls so much that it is consistently underneath the 2nd toe on both feet. We are seeing her pediatrician next week and I’m curious if we should see a podiatrist.
Is there any pain associated with this condition?
What is usually done to correct it (if anything) and at what age?

Without seeing her, I can not say for sure. When the child is very young (before walking) I will have the parents tape the toes usually for several months. But if it is severe, then surgery might be needed. If your pediatrician says to wait and see if she grows out of it, I still suggest you see a podiatrisit.
