Toddler’s toenails haven’t grown

My son just turned two and I have never cut his toenails. They are just as short as the day he was born. His toes are larger of course so I assume that his toenails had to grow some to accomodate a larger toe but nothing has grown over the edge to be cut. The tops look worn out and ragged. His fingernails grow but at a much slower rate than my older sons did when he was little. I find this odd and couldn’t find anything on the internet about it. My son has a few minor health problems (interior polar cataracts, small patent foramen ovale, FTT, and chronic constipation that the doctors still don’t have a diagnosis for). I didn’t know if it was anywhere related to any of those (I really don’t think so) but as I said I thought it was odd. Have you heard of a child whose toe nails don’t grow? Is it normal?
Thank You,Cheryl Davis

My 15 month old son’s toenails have never grown either. They are the same as the day he was born. Sounds strange but true.
