toe contracture?dislocation?

went to DPM last november diagnosed with mortons neuroma, beginning of a bunion and a contracture? of my 2nd toe..my question is at the time I was given a boot to wear and a roll of tape to criss cross over my toe to straigten it out (it is curving to the left toward my big toe) oh..this started after I began a jogging program I am a 36 year old woman)anyway.. I am frustrated because my foot still hurts and I am still taping it while I jog..sometimes hurts a lot more than others..
How can this be fixed??
I haven’t gone back to the DPM because I can’t see how taping my toe is going to straighten it??
have you ever treated this and what can be done?? thanks

I agree with you. I do not know how taping your toe is going to help anything. Depending on what I saw during an examination and after a careful discussion with you, recommendations might include changing shoes, custom orthotics,or even surgery. I recommend you get another opinion by a Board Certified podiatrist.
