My son fell and hurt his sholder, I took him to the local hospital to seek medical advice.After they forced his arm in verious positions he could no longer move his arm or hand. After a little over a month of tests he was told the nerves were ok but he has a torn muscle in his sholder. He was told only time could heal this and use it as the pain tolerates. My question is how long should this take to heal and is there anything that could be done for it.

How can one determine if the muscle has actually been torn? How long does the body take to mend itself? How can I help it along?

I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE A TORN MUSCLE ON MY UPPER LEG ON RIGHT SIDE ABOVE KNEE APPOX 7-8″ HIGHER THAN KNEE.IT IS SO PAINFUL. I HAVE TRIED MUSCLE RELAXANTS,PAIN PILLS,CELEBREX,ULTRAM,TENS UNIT,ICE,HEAT,CREAMS,ASPIRNS,CHIROPRACTIC CAREAND NOW I AM AT A WITS END. I HAVEN’T HAD AN EXRAY YET. I TAKE VITAMINS BUT MAYBE NOT THE RIGHT ONES. I HAVE ALSO TRIED MAGNETS AND COPPER.HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?THANKS,KAREN
