torn tricep bench pressing

While performing a bench press with only 225 lbs. on the press motion I felt a rip and then my elbow popped . I dumped the weights to prevent any further damage but it did hurt like hell, and i immeditely iced it as much as possible for three days and will now start heat therapy . My question is, how long should I wait before attempting to do any low weight tricep contactions of any kind? Ive been lifting for 20 yeats and this is my first tear and I want to get it right. Thanks for any advice
